Her talk will explore how these works reflect the complex social\, political\, and spiritual dynamics of migration\, and how they blend the cultural heritage of immigrants with colonial influences to create a unique visual language of identity and adaptation. \nAnanda Cohen-Aponte is an Associate Professor of History of Art at Cornell University and a recent Getty Fellow for the 2024-2025 academic year.
