On Saturday\, April 18\, history buffs and hip guests have the option to attend the tour or party\, or combine the two and do the whole shebang.\nAll festivities will begin and end at the 100-year-old Coral Gables Congregational Church\, 3010 De Soto Blvd in Coral Gables. Bus tour check begins at 3:30 PM\, for the 2.5-hour trip showcasing Villagers’ historic preservation success stories. The Villager member-led tour will travel between 30+ sites\, with at least one stop along the way. From 6:30-8:30\, party-goers will groove to live ‘60s tunes and nibble elevated retro treats. Guests can score some special surprises and far-out finds at the silent and live auctions.\nProceeds support local historic preservation.

The boutique will be available from 10 AM until 4 PM\, an hour after the tour ends. A Rita Tennyson pop-up café will also be on-site\, offering food for purchase. \nThis is a no-smoking event and venues cannot accommodate wheelchairs\, walkers\, or strollers. Books will be available for sale. \nA practicing architect with the firm Perkins + Will\, Gelabert-Navia is a professor and former Dean of the School of Architecture at the University of Miami. This year’s one-of-a-kind piece “Birds of a Feather” is in honor of the historic Doc Thomas House\, owned by the Tropical Audubon Society. The pattern of birds sitting in a tree is a tribute to the long-time support The Villagers have given for the restoration of the site. Tickets ($5) can be bought from members or during the House Tour and the lucky winner does not need to be present at the drawing. \nCurated vendors\, hand-made Angels\, and food trucks will also be available.
