DESCRIPTION:Make your holiday morning a celebration at the Life Time Turkey Trot Miami 5K/10K & Kids Race presented by Baptist Health. With 5K\, 10K\, and Kids Trot\, there’s a distance for every age and pace! \n5K & 10K: The 5K and 10K will take place in beautiful Tropical Park\, a Miami-Dade Park. First wave starts at 7:00 am. Walkers and strollers are encouraged to join the last wave. Wave starts improving the flow of runners on the course to ensure that the race is enjoyable for everyone. \nKIDS TROT: Kids aged 2 to 9 are welcome to participate and will receive a special youth-size T-shirt and holiday-inspired medal. Races will start at 9:30am\, beginning with the youngest group. Parents are welcome to cheer on their little ones as they make their way around the stadium track to the Finish Line. \nFINISH FESTIVAL: Enjoy post-race food\, refreshments\, games and entertainment\, including oversized Jenga and Connect 4\, cornhole and football challenges\, a 21+ beer garden\, festive holiday treats\, kids bounce house and face painting! Runners\, walkers\, families and community leaders of all ages will come together to take steps to raise funds and awareness to end hunger in South Florida at Tropical Park in Miami. \nCurrently\, in South Florida\, there are over 1.2 million food insecure individuals\, and one in nine individuals in South Florida remain uncertain about where they will get their next meal due to inflation\, the strained supply chain\, rising fuel prices and increased housing costs\, among other factors. \nRegistration is currently open to all four counties that Feeding South Florida serves including Palm Beach\, Broward\, Miami-Dade and Monroe at: https://feedingsouthflorida.org/events/ \nParticipants can join the event as an individual or a team. Those not participating in the race may also support the organization by creating a personalized fundraising page when they register.
