Back in 2022, for just our second in-person 305 Hive® Book Club Experience, we gathered for an unforgettable evening inspired by Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt.
Hosted at the incredible Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, the evening included a private tour of the museum, but the true highlight was the octopus. Frost Science let our book club name him, and of course we chose Marcellus, inspired by the beloved character from the book. 🐙✨
There was something magical about discussing a story centered around such a brilliant creature while seeing one up close in real life. While we were there, Marcellus was given a puzzle box with food hidden inside, and watching him calmly figure out how to unlock it was such a treat. A remarkably bright creature indeed.
Now with the new movie adaptation starring Sally Field officially premiering on @netflix we can’t help but look back on what a special night that was. Frost Science is truly one of Miami’s gems, and perhaps it’s time for you to pay a visit to Frost’s octopus enclosure and say hello to Marcellus’ friends yourself.

An unforgettable afternoon in Miami’s arts scene. We started with a beautiful lunch at Teatro before heading into Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts for The Notebook, and wow, what an emotional, beautifully done performance.
From the music and storytelling to the incredible talent on stage, it was one of those theater experiences that stays with you long after the curtain call. There’s something so special about dressing up, lingering over lunch, and spending an afternoon supporting the arts in our city. Miami really does have such a vibrant cultural scene, and days like this are a reminder to slow down and enjoy it.
Highly recommend making a full day of it: lunch at Teatro, a Broadway show, and maybe a post-show conversation about which scene made everyone cry first. 🎭✨
