As an avid fan of Amor Towles, I have been waiting not-so-patiently for the release of his new book, A Table for Two. I don’t typically read short stories so this one is sure to push me out of my comfort zone – and isn’t that what book clubs are supposed to do after all?  This new book is a series made up of six stories based in New York City that take place at the start of the new millennium and a novella set in the Golden Age of Hollywood. According to the publisher, A Table for Two is “written with his signature wit, humor, and sophistication” and is “another glittering addition to Towles’s canon of stylish and transporting fiction.” If that is so, we are all in for quite a treat! – Lili
