A festive community vibe where dogs, families, and neighbors come together in creative celebration.

The Doggie Costume Contest, hosted by the Coral Gables Museum as part of the city’s Trick-or-Treat on the Mile celebration, has become one of the community’s most anticipated Halloween traditions. This free and family-friendly program transforms Downtown Coral Gables into a lively stage where dogs parade in imaginative and often elaborate costumes, delighting families, children, and visitors.

Prizes are awarded across multiple categories, encouraging creativity and playful participation from the community. Beyond the parade, the event brings together local vendors, small businesses, and community partners, creating a festive marketplace atmosphere that reflects the Museum’s commitment to cultural engagement and civic life.

Blending family fun, pet-friendly activities, and local partnerships, the contest reinforces the Museum’s role as a cultural hub while offering sponsors and participants meaningful visibility in the heart of Coral Gables.
