Nothing Is Linear: Relations Across Latin America and Its Diasporas in the Jorge M. Pérez Collection

El Espacio 23 presents its seventh exhibition, Nothing Is Linear: Relations Across Latin America and Its Diasporas in the Jorge M. Pérez Collection. Bringing together artists connected to Latin America through birthplace, heritage, migration and sustained cultural exchange, the exhibition explores the region’s diverse histories, identities and ways of belonging.
Through four interconnected sections—Embodied Histories, Gestures of Resistance, Symbolic Languages and Spaces of Meaning—the exhibition examines the body, social and political life, abstraction and the environments people inhabit and imagine. Together, the works invite visitors to consider Latin America beyond a single geography or identity.
Participating Artists:
Embodied Histories: Ana Segovia, Agustín Cárdenas, Lari Pitmann, and Adrián Villar Rojas.
Gestures of Resistance: Claudia Martínez Garay, Teresa Burga, Tony Labat, and Mariela Scafati.
Symbolic Languages: Fanny Sanín, Julio Le Parc, Alfred Jensen, Allora & Calzadilla, Loló Soldevilla, Sandra Monterroso, and Bubu Negrón.

The event is free and open to the public.
