In honor of Fish Amnesty Day, PETA is offering people a chance to trade in their fishing gear for a trash fishing kit. Trash Fishing is a fun, cruelty-free activity in which people “fish” for trash instead of fish.

Our trade-in reminds everyone that fish and other sea life are not inanimate objects – they’re living, feeling individuals. PETA is asking everyone with fishing gear to participate in our trade-in and to start trash fishing instead, which actually helps animals and our environment, rather than causing harm to them.
