The Marker’s Salute to Service Memorial Day Weekend will kick off the season with events including a 5K run/walk, high-energy pool parties, exclusive discounts and more. As part of its commitment to local veterans, The Marker will donate $5,000 from the weekend to support VFW Post 3911 and its programs that assist service members on the front line, during discharge and long after they return.

Registration is now open at a discounted entry rate of $45 per participant, $35 for military (after May 11: $55/$45). The first 200 participants to register will receive a free 5K T-shirt. Finishers will be celebrated with the official “Salute to Service 5K” challenger coin, and all participants will celebrate with a complimentary bloody mary, mimosa or Good Boy Vodka beverage at the post-5K Rehab Pool Party.

Events:
Saturday, May 24, 4-6 p.m. – Kickoff Pool Party & Participant Packet Pickup, poolside at The Marker.
Sunday, May 25, 8:30 a.m. – Salute to Services 5K – Participants will start at The Marker, down Duval Street through Old Town Key West to the Southernmost Point, north on Whitehead, and finish back at The Marker.
Sunday, May 25, 1-4 p.m. – Salute to Service 5K Rehab Pool Party: all are invited for live music, cocktails, beers, Smash Burger specials and more.

The Marker Salute to Service Package allows guests to receive up to 25% off nightly room rates as well as discounts at local favorites like Kilwins chocolates and ice cream, and Fury Water Adventures, offering special rates on select water sports and tours.
