Wild About Miami is one of our annual signature events, and this year’s theme is Wild About Water. That’s exactly why we’ve chosen The CLEO Institute as our charitable partner. CLEO is a Miami nonprofit that makes climate education accessible to everyone, because informed communities are more resilient communities. Here, that conversation starts with water. Every glass we pour comes from the Biscayne Aquifer right under our feet, and keeping it fresh is one of the biggest jobs this city has. Through programs like Climate Resilient Schools, CLEO is making sure the next generation of Miamians is ready. THE FUTURE OF DEPRESSION TREATMENT IS HERE

Treating depression can be complex, and no single approach is right for everyone. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an evidence-based, non-invasive treatment option for individuals with depression and other mental health conditions, particularly when traditional treatments like medication have not provided adequate relief. H&H BAGELS ROLLS INTO PINECREST

New York’s most legendary bagel just landed in the 305. H&H Bagels, the Upper West Side institution that’s been a New York staple since 1972, opened its first Miami-area shop in Pinecrest’s Suniland Shopping Center, and the Hive had to see what the hype was about. We turned it into a full office brunch, and honestly? Best decision all week. We ordered the chicken salad, the ScallionBT, a few bagels with cream cheese, and finished it all off with black and white cookies — the whole team agreed this might be the most productive morning we’ve had in a while. Welcome to Miami, H&H!

THE THING THEY REMEMBER

First week of school is here, and if you’re looking for one small thing that lands, it’s a note in the lunchbox.It doesn’t have to be clever. A single line about something they’re nervous about, or a joke they’ll roll their eyes at, does the job. Teachers tell us kids read them twice. The same trick works well past elementary school. Tuck a few notes in a duffel bag before college drop-off, where they’ll turn up in week three when the homesickness hits hardest. Leave one on the counter for the spouse walking into a new office Monday morning. Nobody outgrows being told someone’s thinking about them.

The Tacolcy Center in Liberty City has a beautiful built-in library with nothing kids actually want to read. We’re teaming up with Ella Brandt of Miami Book Bridge to change that.
