BUBBLES & BAO AT HUTONG MIAMI

This is officially one of the best brunch deals in town. We’ve loved Hutong for lunch and dinner for years, but this was our first time trying the brunch, and it absolutely delivered. For $66 (or $88 with bottomless cocktails including margaritas, espresso martinis, and more), the experience starts with free-flow starters, yes, unlimited. Then comes the famous Peking duck course, followed by your choice of entrée. Pro tip: go with a group so you can share. With six of us at the table we sampled six different entrées. Choose a side of seasoned beans or fried rice, finish with a delicious milk dessert, and you’re set. The offering is available both Saturday and Sunday, making it the perfect excuse for a long, leisurely Miami brunch.

RECYCLE SMARTER WITH THE SCRAPP APP

Trying to figure out what actually belongs in the recycling bin? The new free Scrapp app for Miami-Dade County makes it easy. Just scan an item’s barcode or search for it in the app to quickly find out what is and isn’t recyclable. Available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, it’s a simple tool to help our community recycle smarter. Even better, each scan or search helps remove litter from Biscayne Bay through a partnership with Debris Free Oceans. A cleaner 305 and a cleaner bay? That’s a win-win.

FROM PAGE TO SCREEN: PROJECT HAIL MARY

Our latest Book Club took a fun twist as we traded the page for the big screen. Members gathered for a movie night to watch the film adaptation together, bringing the story to life in a whole new way. After the screening, we headed to the bar to compare notes on the movie versus the book, always a lively debate among readers. The evening was made even more special thanks to Lili, who shared her personal connection to the director along with behind-the-scenes stories from the movie set and the premiere in New York. A memorable night for our book-loving crew.

BOOK CLUB AT THE COLLAB

Join us at The Collab for our next Book Club gathering. Enjoy delicious bites, wine, and lively discussion as we dive into My Husband’s Wife, a twist-filled psychological thriller that will keep everyone guessing. It’s the perfect evening to connect with fellow readers and share your take on the story. Get your tickets HERE.

DRAGONS EGGS IN YOUR EASTER BASKET

Looking for an Easter basket surprise that goes beyond candy? These 3D-printed dragon eggs open to reveal an 8-inch articulated dragon inside, an imaginative twist on the classic egg hunt. Each set includes six colorful eggs with detailed dragons that kids and teens will love discovering. The dragons feature intricate textures and flexible movement, making them enjoyable for both play and display. A creative stuffer that’s sure to spark imagination long after the chocolate is gone.

DUFFLE BAGS NEEDED | BY AMY ZAMBRANO | REPLY

Miami Bridge, Miami’s only shelter for homeless youth, has an immediate need for soft-sided duffle bags or very large backpacks. Many of the kids arrive carrying their belongings in garbage bags, and having a proper bag helps them keep their items together with dignity. Gently used bags in great condition are welcome, or you can purchase a new duffle and have it shipped directly. Please note they cannot accept roller bags due to limited storage space.

CONCRETE PAD NEEDED | BY AMY ZAMBRANO | REPLY

Miami Bridge, shelter for homeless youth, is hoping to create more outdoor recreation space for the kids. The current need is donated concrete to help install a permanent volleyball net system at the Homestead shelter and to pour a small 20×30 concrete pad for a three-point basketball play area at the Central shelter. Once the pad is completed, the goal is to add a backboard, hoop, and court surface. If you have a connection to a construction or building company willing to donate concrete or sponsor part of the project, please reach out. Backboard needed as well.

SEEKING TRAVEL NOTARY EXPERIENCE | BY ELIZABETH GINZBURG | REPLY

Hi everyone! I’m a certified notary, stay-at-home mom, and former elementary teacher looking to gain hands-on experience as a travel notary. I’d love to connect with a real estate company or professional willing to mentor or let me learn the process. I’m not seeking pay—just the opportunity to learn and grow. Any connections or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
