Dear Hive, A huge thank you to everyone who follows us on Instagram. This week we officially passed 10K followers, and we couldn’t be more grateful. But while we love connecting with you over there, this newsletter will always be our home base. It’s where we share things first, including event tickets, which always go to our readers before anyone else, because you’re the heart of what we do. So: thank you for reading, for forwarding, for telling people about us. If you’re new here, welcome; we’re glad you found us. Every new subscriber means the world to us. And there’s so much ahead: as we head into fall, we’ve got a lineup of special editions coming your way, health and wellness, holiday happenings, our annual gift guide, and a few more goodies we’ll let you discover as they land. More to come, we’re just getting buzzing. ~Samantha and Team 305 Hive® 🐝
TIRED, WIRED, AND NOT FEELING RIGHT?You may be getting through the day but still feel exhausted, tense, foggy, unfocused, dizzy, sleeping poorly, or constantly “on edge.” At Oasis Chiropractic Center, Dr. Myles Starkman looks beyond individual symptoms to understand how the brain, body, and nervous system are functioning together. Care is gentle, individualized, and designed to support better regulation, focus, balance, sleep, and resilience. Learn more at our website or call 305-374-5866.
MEET THE MIAMI DOCTOR REDEFINING MENTAL HEALTHDr. Hugh Humphery trained in psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center and was integral part of groundbreaking research on ADHD and mood disorders at FIU’s Center for Children and Families, and he could have stopped there. Instead, he kept training in acupuncture, nutrition, and functional medicine, because he kept seeing what a prescription pad alone couldn’t fix. In 2012, he and his wife Reed founded South Florida Integrative Medicine, their Coral Gables practice built on a simple idea: mental health lives in the whole body, not just the mind. Today, a team of nearly twenty providers cares for children, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and more, looking at sleep, gut health, genetics, and stress right alongside traditional psychiatric care. Dr. Humphery is board-certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, sees patients in English and Spanish, and still makes time to mentor and train the next generation of providers. If you’ve ever felt like your care was treating a symptom instead of the whole of you, he’s your person.. Find him HERE.

JOIN US AT COLLAB FOR BOOK CLUBThe Book Bees are traveling back to 1776, no time machine required. A Founding Mother by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie puts Abigail Adams, wife of one president and mother of another, front and center where she belongs. Set against revolutionary Boston’s riots, blockades, and the outbreak of war, it’s the perfect read as America marks its 250th birthday this year. Smart, saucy, and impossible to put down, just like Abigail herself. Grab your TICKET and join 305 Hive® and Alpha School Miami at The Collab in the THesis Hotel, for wine, yummy bites, and conversation.
COCKTAILS & CONNECTIONS IS SOLD OUTCocktails & Connections is officially sold out. FemCity, 305 Hive®, and Luly B are bringing together a room full of inspiring women for cocktails, light bites, and great conversation, and every spot is spoken for. WATERFRONT, AND WORTH ITHere’s something strange about living in Miami: we are surrounded by water, and yet the list of restaurants where you can actually sit beside it is shorter than it has any right to be. The Mexican is on that short list. The food delivered, the cocktails did too, the service was genuinely warm, and then there’s the view, which does a fair amount of work on its own. It’s the kind of place you take someone visiting from out of town, and the kind you come back to without an excuse. Pro tip: the patio is climate-controlled, so it’s safe to request an outside table no matter the temperature. Watch for our reel this week on Instagram for additional footage.
DESK NOT INCLUDEDIf you do half your work from a café on Miracle Mile, this one’s for you. MOFT’s sleeve looks like a slim vegan-leather folio, it’s 0.28 inches and lighter than your iPad, then folds out into a laptop stand at two angles: 15° for typing, 25° for watching. Your neck will notice. There’s an expandable pocket for the chargers and cables that usually end up loose in your bag, and it fits 16″ MacBook Pros. It makes the table you’re borrowing feel like a desk. We’ve added it to our Amazon storefront as a Hive-approved pick.
